Theatre
Things was founded in 1995 by Kathryn Michele Busti to provide excellent
new products and teaching tools for drama teachers and professors. Her
hard work has really paid off, and people across the country now rely
on Theatre Things to make their jobs a lot easier. Michele's book is being
used by theatre teachers/directors in all 50 states as well as in Canada,
England, France, Egypt, Turkey, Thailand, and India.
Michele
has been a theatre teacher, director, technical director, and "techie"
for 42 years. She has taught in Illinois, Michigan, Maryland, and Colorado.
Theatre is her passion and she has dabbled with every crew, in every aspect
of theatre, with actors and techies of all ages and in every kind of theatre.
Her students have become professional and amateur actors, designers and
technicians on Broadway, in regional theatres, educational theatres, community
theatres, and on TV.
Michele
has held state and national positions in several theatre organizations.
She has served as regional representative, secretary, treasurer, vice-president
and president of state organizations in Maryland and Colorado. She is
proud to have served Colorado Thespians as the Colorado State Thespian
Director and is also proud to have served a six-year term as trustee for
the Educational Theatre
Association , an organization very close to her heart. Michele was
inducted into the Colorado State Thespian's Hall of Fame as well as the
Educational Theatre Association's Hall of Fame.
Michele
recently retired from Cherry Creek High School in Englewood, Colorado.
She is still passionate about theatre and is a mentor for young theatre
